First allow me to
explain the primary differences between the specialty
store and Dick and Jane's Athletic Shoe Bonanza.
Specialty store owner involvement - they talk directly to
sales reps, they know the intricacies of every shoe they
sell. The employees are almost always runners. They have
run competitively. They know running and they know
running shoes. Taking a run around the block is par for
the course. If you are ever at a store that won't allow
you to "test run" your shoes, you need to hi-tail it out
of there, for your interest are not aligned. Oh, and
selection. Whereas big box sells a variety of all shoes,
they only carry a limited selection of running shoes.
Specialty running stores only sell running shoes. So if
it wasn't obvious before, it should be obvious now. If
baby wants running shoes, then baby needs to get to a
specialty running store. |
